This program terminated September, 2006, but the resources available on this web site will remain available for some time.

STARMAP will organize and make available to the campus community a variety of seminars, workshops, and short courses on environmental statistics. These activities will generate numerous research and learning opportunities for interested students, environmental scientists, and researchers.

As STARMAP funding will terminate September 30, 2005, the program will not be able to fund any new graduate students or postdoctoral fellows.

Learning activities will center on relevant coursework and development of statistical methodology for complex aquatic survey data, in collaboration with senior statisticians and landscape ecologists.

Students and fellows will have opportunities for travel and interaction with environmental scientists at conferences and workshops.
