The STARMAP
Program invites collaboration in the areas of either statistics or
allied activities in the aquatic sciences.
STARMAP has established, or is
establishing, collaborative arrangements with the following:
National Research Program on Design-Based/Model-Assisted
Survey Methodology for Aquatic Resources in the
Department of Statistics at Oregon State University.
The Southern
California
Coastal Water Research Project, Westminster, CA
Center for Integrating Statistical and Environmental Science
in the Department of Statistics of the University of Chicago.
These Estuaries and Great Lakes (EaGLes) Indicator Development
Projects, also funded by EPA's STAR Program:
Atlantic Coast Environmental Indicators Consortium (ACE INC)
- a joint effort by the University of North Carolina, Chapel
Hill; the University of Maryland; Univ. of South Carolina, Columbia;
the Marine Biological Lab., Woods Hole, MA;
and NOAA/NOS Beaufort
Lab., Beaufort, NC
Consortium for Estuarine Ecoindicator Research for the Gulf
of Mexico - web site not yet operational
