What is CASE?

The Center for Applied Statistical Expertise enables the skills and expertise of the faculty, staff, and graduate students of the Department of Statistics at Colorado State University t o be made available for all types of needs locally, in the state of Colorado, and more widely where the internationally known skills of the group are in demand.

The Department of Statistics comprises some 15 statistical experts with Ph.D. qualifications and expertise in many areas including:

  • Environmental applications of statistics
  • Pharmaceutical applications of statistics
  • Industrial statistical projects
  • Agricultural and animal science applications
  • Statistical use in legal cases
  • Statistics in health care
  • Sample design
  • Survey design and analysis

On-site training courses can also be provided in a wide variety of areas.

State-of-the-art computing resources enable the CASE team to create excellent graphic displays, manage and manipulate large data bases, perform complicated statistical analyses, and customize reports and output to our clients' specifications.
