ABSTRACT
Stratification is a well known technique for improving precision in survey
sampling. Stratification in capture-recapture modeling can lead to some
difficult modeling problems. This talk will review the recent advances in
the use of stratification in capture-recapture studies to estimate survival,
abundance, and movement with examples from fish, fowl, and forest fires.
