Undergraduate/Graduate Student Team Receive College Honors Award at CURC Showcase for Data Analysis Project

In STAT 472 "Statistical Consulting” taught by Philip Turk, student groups work with external clients doing collaborative interdisciplinary research. As part of the requirements for the course this semester, the student groups presented their findings as a poster at Colorado State University’s Celebrate Undergraduate Research and Creativity (CURC) showcase held on April 18th at Lory Student Center. One of the student groups worked with a local nonprofit child abuse treatment operation (ChildSafe) analyzing psychometric data in order to establish program efficacy. Their efforts were recognized in the form of a College Honors award from the CURC. Congratulations to those pictured below, from left to right: Sean Asaro (Senior, Statistics), Todd Fleming (Senior, Economics), Ahmed Alawami (Graduate mentor, Statistics), Samantha Doty (Senior, Statistics), and Bing Zhu (Senior, Psychology).
