Modern data require software and users capable of visualizing and analyzing with modern techniques. The Department of Statistics has partnered with another department at Colorado State University (CSU) to purchase a JMP site license. JMP is an “interactive statistical discovery software” developed by SAS. JMP will be used in Statistics undergraduate courses and is increasingly being used by collaborators across CSU that engage with the Graybill Statistical Laboratory. Training students with this modern software is a key component to student engagement and success in their courses and future careers. The Department of Statistics will host Ruth Hummel, a JMP representative, to present the software’s unique capabilities to the campus community on December 5, 2017. South Campus Seminar (Tuesday, December 5, 7:30am). North Campus Seminar (Monday, December 5, 11am). See main flyer here Statistics Seminar - JMP Workshop.
