ABSTRACT

Good reputations are won and lost, both one-on-one and in various forms on the Internet.  eBay has the earliest and most well known formal ecommerce reputation system.  We examine a dataset of more than 100,000 NARU, i.e. terminated accounts (Not a Registered User) feedback ratings from nine different countries.  We reveal that termination can be predicted from the feedback history, and termination depends on their volume and seniority.  Furthermore, this results applies to all the countries, yet the length of time of prediction varies by country
