MAS Application
Thank you for your interest in Colorado State University and the Department of Statistics.
Please read the following information carefully; it contains our application process and all necessary documents for your application packet to be considered complete and ready for review.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions you may have about the application process. In order for your application packet to be considered complete, the following must be in your file by
March 31st. We will accept applications after this date as space allows.

Steps 3-8 include required documents to the department.
ALL required documents must be mailed to our Department
- Official application for admission, Parts I & II, must be submitted electronically at: http://www.graduateschool.colostate.edu/
- Application Processing Fee paid (currently $50 U.S. dollars)
- Official transcripts from ALL colleges/universities attended- please read carefully
- Minimum GPA (cumulative) for unconditional admission is 3.0
- ONE copy is required for domestic students and TWO copies for international students; they must be sealed and mailed to the address above.
- This copy should be your final (or most recent) transcript from all institutions you have attended.
- If you are an International student, your must provide a certified translation into English with your official transcripts.
- A Personal Statement/Cover Letter is required
- A Resume or CV is required
- Three (3) letters of recommendation are required
- No formal form or template is needed
- The letter should be written on the referee’s letterhead
- Your recommenders will receive an email from the College of Natural Sciences also; it will have a secure link and instructions for uploading their letter.
- GRE scores are required.
- To be considered official scores, you must have your scores submitted to CSU through ETS using our university code, 4075.
- The general test is required for consideration, subject tests are not required, but may be added to your file if you wish to include them.
- TOEFL scores are required by International students
- To be considered official scores, you must have your scores submitted to CSU through ETS using our university code, 4075.
- Minimum TOEFL scores, acceptable by the Graduate School Admissions office are: 550 paper-based, 80 web-based, or 6.0 IELTS
- Please note: if an International student has received a degree from a U.S. institution, then TOEFL scores are waived/not required. However, proof (transcript) is required and must be mailed to us by the college/
university the degree is from.

- Our on-campus program admits only during the Summer semester and admission is not guaranteed.
