Over the years I have been fortunate to work with a number of colleagues in biology. This collaboration has resulted in numerous joint publications and close friendships. The work Gary Packard and I published on the use and abuse of ratios may interest you. We also published a number of articles in which repeated measures were used. I noted recently that I have publications in the biological sciences on salamanders, trout, turtles, magpies, swallows, lizards, blackbirds, falcons, and sparrows. Note, I joined these research teams not as a biologist, rather as a statistical scientist. Sure I did the statistical analyzes for their experiments. However, my role was much more and I had a lot of fun being actively involved in their research. Why, they even trusted me to help with their field research --- as long as I carried the heavy ladder.
