Although Rutgers' Statistics program offered courses in subjects related to quality control, it was not until I began to interact with Dr. W. Edwards Deming that I began to form a special research interest in this area. Recently my research and consulting interest have focused on how statistical science is involved in quality improvement. Indeed we created a course ST515: Statistical Science and Process Improvement to help masters level students. And I have a number of publications relating to statistics and quality improvement .
