1.  Omit Problem #4 on page 390 from textbook assignment #8 
  
2.  Clarification for Problem 4c on Minitab lab #3: carry out the
    hypothesis test with alpha=.01 and then also interpret the p-value
    results like page 317 in the book.
  
3.  Reminder: alway include an interpretation of the results in terms
    of the problem in step 5 of hypothesis tests.

4.  Exam #3 on Friday, April 5
    -Question sessions on Thursday, April 4
	      +12-2 p.m. in 105 Statistics (Professor Hoeting)
	      +7-9 p.m. in 207 Clark (Alicia Johnson)

5.  The due date for Minitab Lab #4 has been changed to April 12.

** Exam 2 is on Friday, 3/8

    The exam will be given in your laboratory section.  It will have
    24 questions, multiple choice.  A hand-written crib sheet is
    required.  See Lecture and Assignment schedule for more details.

    Bring: calculator, number 2 pencil, your crib sheet
    
    If you think you will need more time on the exam, sign up for
    extra time on the exam.  The extended exam period will be from
    4:10-5:30 on 3/8 in A101 Clark.  YOU MUST SIGN UP FOR THIS
    EXTENDED TIME PERIOD IN ADVANCE, NO EXCEPTIONS!  Sign up in lab
    last week or in lecture this week.

    Practice problems for the first exam are available on the ST204
    webpage.

** Minitab lab assignment #2 is due 2/7/02.  Attend lab on 3/1 and see
   the ST204 webpage for the assignment.

**  The readings for some of the lectures have changed:
