Introduction to SAS
So you've never used SAS before.... Here are some resources for help
on SAS.
1. On our PCs you can use the tutorial in SAS. To access this, start
SAS on a PC. Within SAS choose "Help" from the menu bar and then
choose "Getting started on SAS software". On this page, two good
topics to start with are "Tour SAS windows" and "Use SAS window
features".
2. For other introductions to SAS for Windows, see the webpages at
St Olaf (the most useful part of this page is the proc GLM portion),
University of Indiana, or USC.
3. For an introduction to SAS for Unix, see the webpage at the University of
Michigan .
On our Unix machines, start SAS by typing: sas &
4. You might find the attached handout, "Some
simple SAS programs to run", useful to get you started in SAS.
Read one of the introductions to SAS on one of the webpages listed
above and then type in these programs in the SAS.
