ST 302 Design of Experiments

Office hours: MWF 2:00-3:00 or other times by appointment (email works well for scheduling an appointment or getting a quick answer).

 

Prerequisite: ST/STCC 301, 307, or 309; or EH/EHCC 307; or ST311.  Assumed background is elementary probability (including theory for binomial, normal, Student’s t, chi-square, and F distributions) and basic statistical inference (including confidence intervals, hypothesis tests, linear regression and correlation, and one-way analysis of variance). 

 

Required Text: Design of Experiments: Statistical Principles of Research Design and Analysis, 2nd edition, by Robert O. Kuehl.

 

Software for the course:  SAS will be used for class examples, though you are welcome to use other software if it has the same capabilities.
