Do the Donkey Kong, The Missing Verse

_Do the Donkey Kong_ is a fun song from the Buckner and Garcia _Pac-Man
Fever_ album.  Alas, it has a serious flaw: after the calliope bit
in the middle, the song goes nowhere.  B&G just repeat "Do the Donkey
Kong" over and over while dropping in sound effects from the game.
The song just screams for a third verse and some direction.

Here's my attempt.

The music, except for simple beat in the background, should cut out
completely for the first four lines, cut in minimally for the next
four and should be in full groove mode by the beginning of last four.

Nothing else is needed but your skill and your nerve
A one-on-one in pixels, you don't even have a cape
No one there to save you as you face that big ol' ape.

Summon all your courage as you run to save the girl
Double check the fires as they shuffle and curl

Never knew that barrel jumping could be so much fun.

Another by a whisker, how much longer can you last?
It's never much fun dying, but this life is a blast.
Made the daily high score and you think you are a star?
Better best prepare yourself for Donkey Kong J. R.

Finally, if you really want to wow them, fade the song fairly quickly
and play the Donkey Kong Jr. opening at the end.
