Robert X. Cringely, in the Dec 16,1996 Infoworld, reports on some of
Microsoft's new Masterpieces of Licensing collection:

"The new Windows 95 OEM license says: 'This product is licensed for use
only on the computer with which it is first acquired.'"

"All of Microsoft's new products include in the license agreement the
restriction that the software is licensed only 'to run on an authorized
copy of a Microsoft operating system.'"

"The licenses for Microsoft's development tools ... state that they can
only be used to develop programs to run on Microsoft OSs."

"The Internet Information Server license requires 'the client software
[to be] used ... with validly licensed copies of Microsoft operating
system products.'"
