Standard exploratory spatial methods are used to examine the spatial correlation for several variables in a river system. When compared to other areas of spatial statistics, relatively little is known about spatial correlation in aquatic systems. This paper will add to current knowledge by reporting analyses on a data set involving the Ohio River.
