I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Statistics
at the Colorado State University
and the Department
of Biostatistics and Informatics at the Colorado School of Public Health.
I am also an Affiliate Faculty Member in the Molecular,
Cellular and Integrative Neurosciences (MCIN) Program and the
Data Science Research Institute (DSRI)
at the Colorado State University.
Before joining CSU, I received my Ph.D.
in Statistics at
Iowa State University in 2014 under
Professor Stephen Vardeman and Professor
Huaiqing Wu's advisorships. I also received my Ph.D. in
Applied Mathematics at ISU in Aug 2010. Here is my mathematics genealogy.
My research is focused on developing theory and methods for high dimensional inference and multiple testing problems, machine learning,
graphical and network modeling, robust statistics and algorithms, causal inference, and time series. I am interested in applications to genomics,
proteomics, and general omics studies,
bioinformatics, structural biology, social science, casual relationship in large observational studies, econometrics, and political science.
As the PI, my research and work are generously supported by
