Bioinformatics Analysis of DNA Microarray Data

Steen Knudsen, Christopher Workman, Thomas Sicheritz-Ponten and Carsten Friis. Center for Biological Sequence Analysis, Technical University of Denmark

We have developed new methods for normalization, promoter analysis and integration of gene expression data with databases of metabolic pathways and signal transduction. These methods have been integrated, together with other standard statistical analysis methods, into a large system for fully automated analysis of DNA microarray data. The purpose is to combine as much relevant biological information as possible with a statistical analysis thereby providing the best foundation for interpretation of the massive amounts of data.
